Border guard Volodymyr Loyuk died on March 22, 2023, in the battle for the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast. He was 24 years old.

Volodymyr was born in the village of Ostrivets in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. After completing school, he continued his education at Horodenka Vocational Lyceum No. 31. He worked at the Horodenka branch of “Perspektyva” PJSC “Zernoprodukt MHP”. He was passionate about football.

He dedicated his free time to his family. He was a caring father to his children, Sofia and Bohdan. He is remembered as a kind man who always helped others.

During the full-scale Russian invasion in August 2022, Volodymyr joined the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He defended his country from occupiers as part of the 1st (Donetsk) border detachment.

“Volodymyr was a good father, beloved husband, and the best son for his parents,” said his wife, Victoria.

Posthumously, Senior Soldier Loyuk Volodymyr Vasyliovych was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd Class.

The defender was buried in his native village.

At home, Volodymyr was awaited by his parents Vasyl and Liubov, wife Victoria, daughter Sofia, son Bohdan, grandmother Yevdokiya, sisters, brothers, relatives, and friends.
