Soldier Andriy Boruts died on April 27, 2022, as a result of a combat clash and massive enemy artillery shelling near the city of Lysychansk in Luhansk region. The warrior was 33 years old.

Andriy was born in the village of Volya-Vysotska in Lviv region. He received secondary education and worked as a builder. Later, he opened his own company abroad, providing services in the construction industry. He was passionate about football.

In the early days of the full-scale war, Andriy volunteered at the military enlistment office and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. Together with his comrades, he defended Luhansk region.

“Andriy was the best husband and father. We miss him terribly. Brave, courageous, always striving for his goals – that’s how I will remember him. Forever in our hearts,” said the deceased’s wife, Irina.

Posthumously, Soldier Andriy Mykhailovych Boruts was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd Class.

The defender was buried in his native village.

Andriy is survived by his mother, sister, wife, and two sons.
