Senior Soldier Petro Harbarchuk, call sign “Shustryi,” died on June 7, 2023, during assault operations near the village of Novodanylivka in Zaporizhia Oblast. The warrior, at the age of 29, became a defender forever.
Petro was born in the village of Mezhirich in Rivne Oblast. He graduated from Rivne Vocational School No.10, specializing as a lathe operator. From 2017 to 2021, he participated in combat in the ATO/ATO zone, serving in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the full-scale Russian invasion, he continued to defend his country from occupiers. From April 2022, he served in the separate assault unit of the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
“At six years old, he lost his mother and studied in an orphanage. He dreamed of buying a house, creating a family – it was very important to him… He adored spending time with his nephews,” said the sister of the deceased, Svitlana.
The defender was laid to rest in his hometown.
Petro is survived by his sister, brothers, and nephews.
