21-year-old senior soldier Anton Kireychikov was killed on March 2, 2022, in a battle with occupiers in the area of the village of Shyroke, Zaporizhzhia region. While performing a combat mission, covering the retreat of his comrades on an armored personnel carrier (BMP), he burned in his combat vehicle as a result of enemy shell hit.
Anton was born in the village of Staroshiyka, Zhytomyr region. He lived in the village of Vysoka Pich of his native region. He gained the profession of a cook at Holovynske Higher Vocational School. He continued his education at the State University “Zhytomyr Polytechnic”. He worked in his field at the restaurant complex “Volna”. He loved cooking very much. He collected models of military equipment and other items.
When the full-scale war began, the guy was undergoing compulsory military service. After the invasion, he immediately signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine because he wanted to be on the front lines. He served in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He was a deputy commander of the BMP, a gunner-operator.
“Brave. Always positive, he saw only good in life. Not a day went by when I didn’t see him smiling. Always joking. But he tried to achieve more in life,” said the deceased’s brother Andriy.
“He was a very good guy, sensitive. Always supported in any situation and pursued his goals, but his life was taken by the damned war at the age of 21,” added brother Bohdan.
The Hero was not able to be buried, as his body burned together with the BMP.
Posthumously, the warrior was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd Class.
Anton is survived by his mother and four brothers.
