Fighter Yevhen Prudnikov, call sign Chyzh, was killed on September 8, 2023, near the village of Pryutne in Zaporizhzhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries due to enemy mortar shelling. On August 22, the warrior turned 35 years old.

Yevhen was from the city of Zaporizhzhia. He received his education as a welder at a local vocational school. He worked in his profession at the Zaporizhzhia Titanium-Magnesium Plant. He loved his profession very much and became one of the best specialists at the enterprise. In his free time, he was engaged in MMA and enjoyed reading.

During the full-scale Russian invasion, he joined the ranks of defenders and went to the front. He fought as part of the 110th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a sniper of the 2nd category in the sniper unit of the fire support company.

“Yevhen was very kind, attentive, brave, optimistic, and a true defender-warrior. He was in all the hotspots, including near Bakhmut and in Avdiivka. He covered his brothers-in-arms, carried the wounded under fire,” said the fiancée of the deceased, Olena Shepotko.

Posthumously, soldier Prudnikov Yevhen Ihorovych was awarded the Order of Courage, 3rd degree.

The defender was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in his native Zaporizhzhia.

Yevhen is survived by his father and fiancée.
