Ukranian Martyr Vadim Korol’sky

Paratrooper Vadim Korol’sky, call sign Korol, passed away at Kyiv Hospital on September 9, 2023. On August 13, while carrying out a combat mission in the area near the village of Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia region, he sustained severe injuries during enemy artillery shelling. Doctors from Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Kyiv fought for the soldier’s life until the very end. He turned 38 on August 23.

Vadim was born in the village of Kruti Horby in Kyiv region. He received secondary education at the local school. In civilian life, he worked as a driver and was involved in freight transportation. He planned to start a family and create a cozy home atmosphere, but he did not have the chance.

On January 10, 2023, Vadim was mobilized into the ranks of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in military unit A2582 and held the position of a grenadier.

“I am proud of him. He was responsible, kind, gentle, and brave,” said Vadim’s fiancée, Emma.

Posthumously, soldier Korol’sky V.V. was awarded the Order “For Courage” III degree.

The defender was buried in his native village.

Vadim is survived by his mother, brothers, sisters, and fiancée.
