39-year-old soldier Taras Tishchenko died on August 1, 2022, near the village of Ruska Lozova in Kharkiv region. The unit repelled the enemy’s advance and checked the forest where the enemy had been before. At one of the exits, the fighter stepped on a mine.
Taras was born and lived in the city of Kharkiv. He received higher education in economics at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute.” He worked in various places, mostly with an engineering focus. He was knowledgeable about computers and various microchips. He also worked for a private company in Kharkiv that dealt with wireless internet. When the company disbanded, he worked in various jobs, including being an employee of LLC “Nova Poshta.” He was passionate about gardening, breeding, and landscape design, constantly experimenting. Recently, he had been growing gooseberries.
When the full-scale war began, he joined the local Territorial Defense Organization (TRO) to defend his city and country from the enemy. He served in the 127th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman.
“He had another great love – a little dog: a chihuahua named Dasha. Taras was a very responsible person, bright and honest. He and his friend went to the military enlistment office together and received directions to defend Kharkiv. Later, the territorial defense units were incorporated into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Taras ended up on the front line, where he carried out various important combat missions. In May, he suffered significant injuries to his arms and legs, lying in the hospital in Kharkiv, then in the Kyiv region. And at the end of June, he went back to the front,” – said the deceased’s wife.
The defender was buried in his hometown.
Taras is survived by his wife.
