48-year-old Senior Sergeant Sergiy Dubchak was killed on October 27, 2023, near the village of Robotine in Zaporizhzhia region. He sustained fatal injuries during a combat mission as a result of enemy missile fire.

Sergiy Volodymyrovych was originally from Vinnytsia city. He studied at the local School No. 22. Later, he obtained a profession as an automotive mechanic at Vinnytsia Polytechnic Technical College. He was a private entrepreneur, repairing and manufacturing soft furniture. He was passionate about his work and always sought to improve his professional skills. He also loved animals dearly. Even during the war, they were always by his side.

On April 20, 2022, he volunteered to defend his homeland. He served in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fighting as a driver in the grenade launcher platoon.

“He carried out his duty as a defender of our state with dignity, treated the fulfillment of assigned tasks with a sense of patriotism, was loyal to the people of Ukraine and constitutional duty. He showed prudent initiative in matters related to the material and technical support of the unit, as well as maintained the combat spirit of the unit by his own example. He always cared for the animals that became homeless due to the war. Sergiy was a good and loving husband, a father to our daughter Alla, a brother, an uncle to nephews, and a faithful friend,” his wife Olga shared.

The warrior was buried at the Alley of Glory of Sabariv Cemetery in Vinnytsia region.

At home, Sergiy was awaited by his parents, wife, daughter, other relatives, and friends.
