Senior soldier Ruslan Dul, call sign Livsha, was killed on April 27, 2023, near the village of Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he suffered a fatal explosive injury due to a detonation on an enemy mine. Two other fighters were also killed alongside him. Ruslan left this world at the age of 37.
Ruslan was born in the village of Krasne in Kharkiv region. He graduated from Vocational School No. 60 in Kegychivka and acquired professions as a locksmith-repairman, tractor driver, and driver. Later, he became a technician-mechanic at the Krasnograd Agricultural Mechanization Technical College named after F.Ya. Tymoshenko. He lived in the city of Krasnograd and was an entrepreneur, involved in making duplicate keys and sharpening knives.
With the onset of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ruslan, as an ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation) veteran, took up arms again to defend his country. He served in the 113th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a driver in the shooting squad of the shooting platoon of the shooting company of the 121st Separate Battalion TRO (military unit A7287).
In 2022, he was awarded a commendation “For significant personal contribution to ensuring the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state,” and in 2023, he received the medal “For bravery in battle.”
Relatives and friends will always remember Ruslan as someone who would always come to help and never pass by someone else’s trouble. He never sought personal gain but was willing to give his all. He was friendly, had many friends, loved to joke, and had a great sense of humor. Ruslan was always honest and fair. He respected his parents, loved his sister, wife, and daughters very much.
The warrior was laid to rest at the Heroes Alley Cemetery in Krasnograd, Kharkiv region.
Ruslan is survived by his parents, Tetiana and Oleksandr, sister Liudmyla, wife Olena, and daughters Anna and Alisa, who were 10 and 5 years old at the time of their father’s passing.
