Soldier Oleg Trokhymenko, call sign “Trokhim,” was killed on August 16, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Mazanivka in Donetsk region. The warrior was 47 years old.
Oleg was born in the village of Ukrayinka in the Zhytomyr region. He lived with his family in the town of Hranitne. He received secondary education. In civilian life, he worked as a drilling rig operator at the Penizivka quarry. He loved fishing, gardening, and flowers.
During the full-scale Russian invasion, he defended his family and homeland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a soldier of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Konstantin Ostrozhsky.
“He was the best in everything. The best dad, loving husband. A true friend and comrade,” said the deceased’s wife.
Posthumously, he was awarded the Order of Courage III degree.
The Hero was buried in his native village of Ukrayinka.
At home, Oleg’s wife Lesya and daughter Nadiya awaited him.
