Mykhailo Krisyuk, aged 50, tragically passed away on June 2, 2023, near the village of Druzhba in Donetsk Oblast. While carrying out his combat duties, he suffered fatal injuries due to enemy mortar shelling.
Mykhailo Vasylovych was born in the village of Stepan, Rivne Oblast.
He received his education at the local school and graduated from the Radiviliv Vocational-Technical School No. 26, where he obtained qualifications as a decorative woodworker and lathe operator. He worked as a carpenter and later as a boiler operator at the Stepansky Lyceum State Enterprise. He always maintained a healthy lifestyle, enjoyed outdoor activities with his family, and liked spending time in nature.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Mykhailo joined the ranks of defenders. He served in the 60th Battalion “Poliisky Vovky” of the 104th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as a machine gunner.
“Our dad was the brightest person I knew. He was incredibly kind, had golden hands, and always helped everyone. He was a true friend who would come to the rescue in any situation. From the first days of the war, Dad stood up to defend his country and family. Even while on duty, he always cared for us, tried to find time to write or call. He never complained about his hardships, always reassured us that everything was fine with him and emphasized that his main concern was for us to be okay. He is remembered as smiling, fair, and sincere. Dad was a man of his word. Everyone who knew my father only speaks of him in good words. He was a loving husband, the best father, and a caring son. We miss him terribly. Unfortunately, war takes away the best,” shared Nataliya Krisyuk.
The warrior was buried in his hometown.
Mykhailo is survived by his mother Maria Dmytrivna, beloved wife Oksana, son Taras, daughters Nataliya, Olga, Yuliya, as well as relatives, friends, and comrades.
